Terms of Service & Legal Notice

By visiting our site and/or purchasing products from Atlas Trek, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, including all additional policies referenced herein.

1. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland (QLD), Australia, and the Commonwealth of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

2. Accuracy of Site Information & Trademark Notice

We endeavor to present accurate product descriptions, extended lengths, gram weights, and pricing. Independent Alpine Gear Brand Notice: Atlas Trek is an independent designer and retailer of trekking hardware, carbon-fiber hiking poles, and outdoor navigation gear. Atlas Trek is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Black Diamond Equipment, Leki, Komperdell, Silva, Suunto, or Cascade Mountain Tech. Any comparative references are made strictly for functional specification, locking mechanism benchmarks (e.g., external lever quick-lock designs), and outdoor ergonomics clarity. Atlas Trek reserves the right to correct any inadvertent inaccuracies at any time without prior notice.

3. Alpine Safety, Max Extension Limits & Lateral Shearing Advisory

POLE EXTENSION & LATERAL LEVERAGE WARNING: Trekking poles are designed primarily for vertical axial load bearing to stabilize balance and absorb downward knee impact. NEVER extend pole sections beyond the printed "STOP" or "MAX" line indicators; insufficient shaft overlap can cause sudden joint fracture under load. NEVER use trekking poles as pry bars in rock crevices or as anchor stakes for high-tension rescue rigging, as carbon fiber can shear under excessive perpendicular torque. Navigation Instrument Notice: Liquid-filled compasses must be kept away from strong magnetic fields (such as smartphones, GPS units, or iron ore deposits) during sighting. Atlas Trek is not liable for trail falls, fractured shafts resulting from crevice wedging, joint collapse from loose cam adjustment thumb-screws, or navigational errors in remote wilderness areas.
